Pre-Anesthesia Clinic

Some surgical patients will need to meet with their anesthetist prior to their procedure. You will be contacted if your surgeon has determined that you require a pre-op visit, and you will be given an appointment for our Pre-Anesthesia  Clinic.

During your Pre-Anesthesia Clinic visit, your anesthetist will explain the anesthetic to you and answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Prior to your Pre-Anesthesia Clinic visit, we ask that you fill out our Pre-Op Health History Questionnaire. This form gathers important medical information needed before surgery, such as any allergies or heart, blood or breathing problems you may have. Your anesthetist will review your completed questionnaire prior to your  appointment and will discuss it with you during your Pre-Anesthesia Clinic visit. There are several options for returning the questionnaire to us. Please click here to access the questionnaire.

Dear Patient: Please complete this health history questionnaire to the best of your ability. Your Anesthesiologist will review it prior to your Consultation.

"There’s no question in my mind that if a knee or hip replacement is in your future, by far the best place to get it done is at Kemptville District Hospital. It’s so professional, stress reducing, friendly and pain free, you wonder what in the world you were worried about. I was in on Monday, out on Wednesday and back on the air on Friday with a brand new beautiful knee! Not only that, but the parking is a whole lot cheaper – no big crowds – Grahame’s Bakery sent me some butter tarts and the new knee has taken at least five strokes off my golf game!!!   A gold medal for KDH!"
