Cathy Burke is a Registered Nurse with 25 years’ experience in a variety of nursing environments, including Operating Room, Emergency Department, Occupational Health, and Cardiovascular Intensive Care.

She came to Kemptville District Hospital in the spring of 2013 from Northern Lights Regional Health Centre in Fort McMurray, Alberta, where she served as Charge Nurse for the Operating Room, Recovery Room and Day Surgery, and assisted with the preceptor program for new Registered Nurses. Ms. Burke hails from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, where she received her training as a Registered Nurse. She has enhanced her nursing knowledge and skills with additional training in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and International Trauma Life Support. Ms. Burke currently serves as Vice President of Nursing and Clinical Services at KDH; she joined the Board of Directors as Chief Nursing Executive in May, 2015.
